Hello family & friends,
It's been a busy beginning to 2010 around here! Hope you have all had a great start to the new year as well. New Year's Day started the fun with a family get-together/Wii Tournament at Gram & Pa Johnson's place. Zoey had a great time hanging out with her cousins AND we got to meet the newest addition to the family... an 8 week old Labradoodle puppy aptly named "Doodle". Needless to say the kids had a blast with her, and we all enjoyed some incredibly yummy food... homemade chilli, lots of appetizers & endless desserts thanks to Auntie A - a perfect New Year's celebration!
We have had some serious rain coming our way, so lots of opportunities for rainy day walks & fun playtime in the puddles. Zoey & Emmy are completely attached at the hip these days, and we 3 really enjoy our leaf, rock & stick collecting adventures :) There are always lots of treasures to show daddy when he gets home from work.
Grandpa & Grandma Reamer made a trip to CA the end of January, and we all celebrated Championship Football day here at our house. Uncle Matthew, Auntie Ariel, Auntie Kerry, Uncle Casey and Great G-Ma Reamer were here too, as we watched our MN Vikings go down with a fight, but our Indianapolis Colts triumph on their way to the SB! What a fun day we had cheering on our fave football teams, eatting lots of food (AGAIN!) and hanging out with the family. Thanks so much for making the trip to our place everyone... looking forward to the next time G & G Reamer :)
February started off with one of our favorite days of the year... Super Bowl Sunday! It was quiet around here this year, as it was just us 3 cheering on our beloved Colts. As you all know, it was not a good end for us :( but we won our pool in the 1st quarter so it softened the blow quite a bit :) Little Miss Zoey has been teething in her 2 year molars and unfortunately boycotted her daily 2 hour nap for 9 days straight early in the month... you can see in 1 of the SB Sunday pics, she finally gave in while watching mommy prep the annual "football chilli".
Zoey, Emmy & I have also started going to our neighborhood park for some outdoor exercise together... the 2 girls are quite the pair as they try to keep up with one another. I'm not sure who has more fun, but I can say we are all sufficiently pooped out when it's all over... check out the pic of Emmy already resting half way into playtime!
Nana Lina joined us at our local outdoor mall for our first train ride. Zoey loves Thomas the Train, ALL "choo choos" in general really, so this was a big hit. We will be going there often :)
We saw the start to our frontyard remodel project during the final week of Feb! This project has been waiting in the wings for the last 5 years, and Bob decided it was time to get to it. We have envisioned the look of it all for so long now, we are very excited to enjoy the end result... a few more weeks to go before we reach completion. Enjoy a couple of pics of the "tear out stage"... keep you posted with the final product!
lots of love to you from us... until next time,
The Tumas Trio
