Summer Fun in June!
This month we had some great adventures! I participated in the Relay For Life on a team with some new friends here, and it was an experience I'll never forget. Zoey & I made a poster for our booth in honor of my grandmothers Emilia and Velda who both past from Cancer. I plan to do this every year... everyone had said once a part of it you ALWAYS will be... thank you to my family & friends who donated on my behalf, our team of 4 walked 65 laps around the track during the all night event! For my birthday we spent the day in an awesome little town here called Ouray... it's described to be a little Switzerland and they are sure right on that. Beautiful shear mountain cliff terrain with amazing green trees and foliage everywhere, including some of the prettiest waterfalls you can imagine. We explored town, had a great lunch & walked to one of the Falls, with all 3 dogs in toe! Little exciting for the pup & Buddy so they chilled in the car some of the time while our "rock" in the fam Emmy enjoyed a little "down time" exploring with us :) Zoey & I visited a local children's farm in neighboring Fruita and had a great day enjoying the animals & exhibits, and we started regular "dance nights" here at our house with daddy, Zoey & Belle taking center stage most of the time :) June also brought some exciting news... my mom & Chuck decided to tie the knot at the end of the month and flew Zoey & I into town for the weekend festivities! Friday the 29th was the ceremony, after which we had a yummy celebratory dinner with Chuck's kids. Saturday we hung with Uncle Matthew at Nana's in the morning, then went to Zoey's 1st Dodger game with Grama, Pa & Auntie Amy where Zo proceeded to have THE most amazing "First Game Experience"... we got a family photo from the stadium, had our 1st Dodger dogs, got on the DANCE CAM eating cotton candy AND caught a ball thrown to the fans by pitcher Todd Coffey... WHAT a game!!! Sunday we had a great time going to the Natural History Museum with Nana, Uncle Chuck & Matthew for the day, where we saw the Dinosaur Exhibit and the Butterfly Pavilion, awesome! Then finished the trip off Monday spending the day with Uncle Matthew & Aunti Ariel at their place & going for a walk through Hollywood, playing at a local park & taking in the sites, flying home that evening. What a full & festive visit... Congrats again Mom & Chuck... so happy for you both :)
