Halloween 2010!

This year was even more fun as we again celebrated the holiday at gram & pa Johnson's place. They actually had over 1700 people come to their door... YES 1700! It's like New Year's Eve but all familys and lots of little kids, so very family-friendly :) Cousin Lillee and her parents joined in for her first Halloween, and we had a great time walking the neighborhood with the whole family. Zoey chose her outfit this year and decided to be a ghost... "a silly ghost not a scarey ghost" as she put it. My mom and I always put homemade outfits together for me every year growing up, and I want to keep the tradition going (as long as Zo goes along with it :), so she dressed in leggings & a turtleneck top then put on a small pillowcase with holes cut out for her head & arms, we drew a silly face with crayon on the front too. Have to share Cousin Brella dressed in an Animal Caretaker 's outfit with a monkey doll hanging from her shoulder and when asked who she was she said "I'm Auntie Holly",I felt very proud, thanks Brel :) As we walked door-to-door Zo really got into it telling us "vamanos, let's go everyone", gotta love that Dora! This was also Zoey's first experience with candy (aside from the occasional sugar-free lollipop from her doctor), and she enjoyed it thoroughly... gummy lifesavers were the chosen fave. We brushed our teeth extremely well that night :) Hope you all had a fun Halloween too!

Fall Fun in October!

The month started off with Nana Lina's Octoberfest with her friend "Uncle Chuck", Zoey really liked her nana's festive outfit! We then danced the night away at our friends Mara & Bo's wedding... Zoey's first wedding celebration and she's STILL talking about it a month later :) We've had silly fun with Emmy (of course), and helped nana and Uncle Matt with their vendor booths at a Holiday Boutique. We had lots of costume fun with our friends at toddler class, taking some cute photos of the group, and went to a local pumpkin patch & petting zoo with some of our bff's Ashley & her mom. Carving our mini pumpkins this year was messy & fun too, Zoey picked them out and said she liked the "baby ones" :) And finally, our little lady learned to ride her first 3-wheeled scooter at one of our neighbor friend's birthday party... daddy helped and she was hooked... looks like Santa's got a good idea for this year ! Fun photos of Halloween night coming soon...
