More Summertime Fun with Family & Friends!

Well this Summer has been alot of fun for us, incase you couldn't tell! In addition to our beach days during the month of August, we have also enjoyed lots of good times with Emmy pup, fun with Nana, more fun with our weekly play buds, nice lunches with Uncle Matty & Auntie Ariel, more hanging with our dog park pack, lots of adventures on Zo's Thursdays with Grama Johnson (need to leave my camera so we can get some pics for the blog grama!), and our first neighborhood block party! The last few pics here are of Zoey enjoying her frozen yogurt cone for dessert BEFORE everyone else at the party, as mom made hers at home before we served the fixins to our neighbors, and of her playing ball in the street with daddy & some new "big girl" friends. Kicking & throwing that ball around is one of our girl's fave things to do these days... we forsee soccer & maybe T-ball early in her future... along with dance too of course, can't wait!

Cooling off at the Beach!

During the last 2 weeks of August we have finally had some REALLY hot weather, and so to the beach we went! Our 1st trip was to Point Dume near Zuma Beach with our neighborhood friends. Zoey loved playing in the sand & lounging with mom under our umbrella in the shade, but wasn't too sure about the ocean yet... she enjoyed sitting about 4 feet back from the edge of the tide and admiring it from a short distance :)

Our 2nd beach trip was to the annual Port Hueneme Beach Festival. We enjoyed some very yummy food, checked out lots of arts, crafts & collectibles booths, and experienced our first walk out on to a very big pier together. The wood planks were a bit bumpy & uneven, so Zo looked to her daddy to help navigate the path. We saw some very cool kites & sandcastles displayed in honor of the event, and had a really great day!
